Body was discovered on February 23, 1996 by manager of apartment complex, who was investigating source of unpleasant odor noticeable throughout building. Manager claims to have called police immediately and did not touch anything in apartment. Intitial examination by medical examiner revealed the following: victim was naked and bound spread-eagle on bed. Wrists NOTES and ankles were tied to bedposts by means of four multi-colored silk scarves. Victim appeared to have been strangled by a fifth scarf, found at foot of bed. Lab tests showed victim's blood and skin on scarf. Examination of vagina revealed no traces of seminal residue or signs of trauma caused by sexual penetration. Fingerprints at scene were matched to ? victim and building manager. Victim's blood tested negative for drugs and/or alcohol. HELP CONCLUSION: Lab results and crime scene observation confirm Mimi Farrell and Jackie Cochran were killed by the same perpetrator. Another Autopsy
